A breathtaking panorama located in the San Fernando Valley, Glendale is one of several prized suburbs of Los Angeles. Looking up at the Verduga Mountains one cannot help but to be awed by their magnificence. Intersected by four major freeways, the city is easily attainable from all parts of the state and immediate region. The city's famous cemetery is the final resting place of quite a few prominent film stars. The city itself is home to not only a noted entertainment company, but to a major candy manufacturer as well. Charming shops and appealing cafes populate the downtown section of the city. Catch a movie or see a theater show. Take a stroll under the lights of the city at night. The smells emanating from the local restaurants are truly stunning, their aromas enticing you to come in at each inhalation of air. The original home of Baskin Robbins ice cream, you can be sure that particular refreshing treat is done right in the city of Glendale. Dessert cafés are quite popular downtown and throughout the city with many boasting of being the best at what they do. What they do specifically is overload your taste buds with savory sweetness. A trip to Glendale would not be complete without a taking a hike and taking in the view along one of the trails found in several of the areas parks. Stopping midway through any trek is a must as the view is simply one-of-a-kind. More
